Fitness instructor job with Chelmsford City Council


An exciting opportunity for two professional fitness instructors with flair and imagination is now available at Chelmsford Sport and Athletics Center, Chelmsford.

The Center offers a fitness room, free weights, two studios and an activity room. The center also has an indoor athletics track and fully lit outdoor sports facilities with an outdoor throwing area which is home to the Chelmsford Athletic Club. In addition, the center also has a sports hall with 4 fields. The outdoor pitch is the home of the Chelmsford City Football Club.

We are looking for an energetic, experienced and motivated person to work in our fitness center equipped with Technogym equipment. It is an ideal opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while developing your career. You will work alongside our team of fitness instructors to provide the high level of customer service our users have come to expect.

The candidate should have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and a high level of enthusiasm and be qualified at a minimum of Level 3 NVQ / YMCA.

Duties will include setting up gym programs, fitness assessments, delivering group exercise classes, small group training sessions, using Microsoft and Gladstone (leisure management software). ), personal training, help with the promotion and sale of the service and daily operations. of a gymnasium.

There are two part-time positions available for 8 p.m. and 5 p.m. each.

The successful candidate will be expected to work on a shift basis as part of a rotation covering the opening hours of the center including early morning, evening, weekend and therefore flexibility is a must.
