Size 12 fitness instructor bursts into tears after prospect says she is ‘too fat’ for work

A fitness instructor was DEVASTATED after learning her height was not small enough for a woman to book her services.

Zara Groves, 51, was told that a potential client decided not to book her services – simply because she was a size 12.

Zara is happy with her size but couldn’t believe the comment

Shocked and appalled by the comment, Zara said she broke down in tears in a very frank manner. Facebook post she titled “Do You Think I’m Fat.”

Zara said: “I’m not here looking for compliments because I know I’m not fat. I’m here because a friend told me she knew a lady who was going to book one of my. course, but she saw a picture of me decided I was too fat. “

“What I have to say was quite a shock and hurt me, I’m not a machine. It was quite late at night when I was told that, and the next day when I got there. thoughtful, i was like i’m not fat, “added the fitness teacher.

Although she is aware that she is not fat and only wears size 12UK in her clothes, Zara said she was still upset that her skills as a fitness instructor were judged. because of its appearance.

“I was like wow, this lady gave up, all the expertise I could share with her because, in her eyes, I was too big for her. What is this world turning into?” Zara said.

Adding, “It really shocked me. I never thought in a million years that fat would be a description you would put next to me because I’m not.”

Fortunately, Zara is now able to laugh at the ridiculousness of the comment, however, she felt the need to share her experience as she doesn’t think people should judge her work by how she looks.

“I’m a damn good trainer, I know that. Plus I’m 51, I’m also in perimenopause now. So if you look at me in my 20s, I had eight stones 13 to nine stones one,” did she say.

“When I was in my thirties, which I think was when I looked my best in my figure, I had 10 stones. Now I have 11 new stones, so yeah, I ‘ve gained weight but still wouldn’t put myself down for fat, ”Zara added.

Zara said she was grateful for having thick skin and asked viewers of her post if they had ever experienced a similar shame.

The post was viewed 3.8,000 times and Facebook users commented on how ridiculous it is for someone to call Zara fat.

“Fat ?! Are you kidding! Ridiculous, and IF you were, what difference does it make to your knowledge and experience. It’s mind blowing x,” one person commented.

“You are a beautiful and fit woman and an inspiration to all your brilliant colleagues and instructors, don’t explain Zara because she has the x problem,” added another Facebook user.

A third said: “People’s opinions on fat have become skewed, now it’s ridiculous”

It really shocked me. I never would have thought in a million years that fat would be a description you would put next to me because I’m not. “
